Archivo de Ilustración Argentina
El Archivo de Ilustración Argentina es un repositorio digital histórico. Abarca material ilustrado de diversos tipos y formatos publicado en el país durante los siglos XIX y XX. Nuestro objetivo es crear una herramienta para consulta y divulgación, dar a conocer el trabajo de lxs ilustradorxs y poner en valor nuestra identidad visual.
Clasificamos las piezas por su tipología (libro, revista, afiche, publicidad, etc.), la técnica con que fueron realizadas, la forma de impresión, la temática y su fecha de publicación.
Creamos el Archivo de Ilustración Argentina (AIA) en el 2014 con una beca grupal del Fondo Nacional de las Artes. El proyecto fue generado en el marco de la investigación docente sobre la historia de la ilustración de nuestro país en la materia Ilustración Editorial, Cátedra Roldán, perteneciente a la Carrera de Diseño Gráfico de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo, de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA).
Contamos con el apoyo del Fondo Nacional de las Artes, el Consejo Federal de Cultura y formamos parte del programa de Mecenazgo / Participación Cultural.
Argentine Illustration Archive
The Argentine Illustration Archive is a historical digital repository. It includes illustrated material of various types and formats published in Argentina during the 19th and 20th centuries. Our goal is to create a tool for research and diffusion, to showcase the work of illustrators and to enhance the value of our visual heritage.
We sort the pieces by typology (book, magazine, poster, advertisement, etc.), technique, printing method, subject and publication date.
We created the Argentine Illustration Archive (AIA) in 2014 with a National Grant for Group Projects awarded by the National Fund for the Arts. The project was generated in the context of teaching research on the history of illustration in our country in the subject of Editorial Illustration, Roldán Chair, belonging to the Graphic Design Degree of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, of the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA).
We have the support of the National Fund for the Arts, the Federal Council of Culture and we are part of the Patronage Program of Buenos Aires.
